College football preview capsules: B-CU, FAMU, FAU, FIU, UCF

Bethune-Cookman at Morgan State, 1

The Wildcats (6-2, 5-0 MEAC) lead the series 18-8. The last time the Wildcats played in Hughes Stadium was Oct. 2, 2010, when they won 69-32. Four of the Bears' losses have been by a total of 10 points. Morgan State is 3-5 overall, 2-3 in the league.

Florida A&M at N.C. A&T, 1:30

Both teams are in the middle of the MEAC pack and trying to move up. The Rattlers are 3-5 overall, 3-2 in the league; the Aggies are 4-4, 2-3.

FAU at Navy, 3:30, CBS Sports Network

It's the first meeting between the Owls (2-6) and Navy (5-3), which plans to join the Big East by 2015.

FIU at South Alabama, 3:30

The Jaguars (2-6, 1-3 Sun Belt) are new to the league and meeting the Panthers (1-8, 0-5) for the first time. FIU QB Jake Medlock, who threw for 187 yards against Western Kentucky last week, moved to No. 4 in FIU career passing yards (2,086), moving ahead of Wayne Younger (2007-10).

UCF vs. SMU, 7, CBS Sports Network, 1350-AM

SMU senior QB Garrett Gilbert set a career high with four touchdown throws in a 72-42 win over Houston on Oct. 18. He also passed for a career-high 353 yards and tied a career high with two rushing TDs as SMU (4-4, 3-1 C-USA) beat Memphis 44-13 last week. UCF senior RB Latavius Murray has produced back-to-back 100-yard rushing games for the first time and accounted for four touchdowns last week for the Knights (6-2, 4-0). He also has a streak of 282 consecutive carries without losing a fumble (his last loss, Memphis in 2008).
