College football preview: No. 8 Florida State vs. No. 25 Maryland, noon Saturday, ESPN, 1040-AM

No. 8 FSU vs. No. 25 Maryland, noon, ESPN, 1040-AM

It's no surprise to see the Seminoles 4-0. But the Terrapins? They won four games all of last season and were picked to finish fifth in the ACC's Atlantic Division. Third-year coach Randy Edsall boasts the nation's No. 3 scoring defense (10.3 points a game). FSU coach Jimbo Fisher (left) announced Friday that redshirt freshman LB Ukeme Eligwe was suspended after a violation of team rules. FSU (2-0 ACC), fourth nationally at 51.3 points a game, can't look ahead to its Oct. 19 showdown at No. 3 Clemson.

Watch out for …

The Terrapins' 17 sacks are tied for most in the nation, and their eight interceptions are tied for eighth. If they can pressure QB Jameis Winston into turnovers, Maryland can become an upset threat.
