College football scouting report: No. 4 Florida State Seminoles at USF Bulls, 6 p.m. Saturday, ESPN, 98.7-FM, 1010-AM, 820-AM

The Seminoles (4-0) gave up only three points in their first three games, but two games were against I-AA opponents before shutting out Wake Forest 52-0. The Seminoles trailed No. 10 Clemson 31-21 midway through the third quarter last week before scoring 28 consecutive points in less than a quarter, finishing with 667 yards of total offense. FSU RB Chris Thompson averages 10.8 yards per carry, the highest among the NCAA's top 50 rushers.

Watch out for …

USF (2-2) beat the Seminoles in 2009 with B.J. Daniels' elusiveness leading the way — he rushed for 126 yards on 23 carries, the latter of which is still a career high. The Bulls need a traditional running game to set up play action and potential big-play passes — the 2009 game had completions of 77 and 73 yards. Sophomores Andre Davis and Terrence Mitchell are USF's best downfield threats in the passing game.
