The Seawolves have never played a Division I-A opponent, and the crowd at Raymond James Stadium (expected to be around 35,000) will likely be twice as big as the biggest one to have seen Stony Brook play to date. The second head coach in USF history, Skip Holtz, right, opens his tenure hoping to see players show understanding of new schemes on offense and defense. USF has a much tougher challenge next week when it travels to Gainesville for its first game against Florida.

WATCH OUT FOR …

Look for the USF debuts of several promising newcomers, including receiver T.J. Knowles, a 6-foot-6 junior college transfer; freshman running backs Bradley Battles and Marcus Shaw; defensive end Julius Forte (Boca Ciega High); linebacker DeDe Lattimore; and potentially cornerback Terrence Mitchell (Hillsborough High). Holtz has said he expects at least four true freshmen to play.
