Cincinnati (3-3, 1-1 American Athletic Conference) is playing all its 2014 home games at Paul Brown Stadium — home of the Bengals — as its on-campus facility undergoes an $86 million renovation. … If Cincinnati temperatures creep into the mid 40s as expected tonight, USF (3-4, 1-1) will face its coldest kickoff of the year by more than 10 degrees. … Cincinnati has won seven of the 11 meetings, but USF upset the Bearcats 26-20 last October (without an offensive TD) for the first victory of the Willie Taggart era. … Tonight's glaring key will be how effectively Cincinnati's injury-besieged defense, 119th nationally against the run (242.3 ypg), handles conference rushing leader Marlon Mack (103.9 ypg). Efficient Cincinnati PK Andre Gantz (7-for-8 FGs) and equally steady counterpart Marvin Kloss (9-for-11) could be challenged if the winds off the Ohio River get brisk.

Watch out for…: Two proficient stars from Jefferson's 2010 Class 3A state title team. Bulls senior WR Andre Davis, who has 12 catches for 278 yards and four TDs in his two games since returning from a bruised sternum, will reunite with Bearcats junior Chris Moore (18 catches, 421 yards, five TDs). … Bearcats first-year QB Gunner Kiel, a Notre Dame transfer once deemed the nation's top prep quarterback, has 1,853 passing yards and 19 touchdowns in six games.
