As Florida's college football programs scramble with Hurricane Matthew approaching, Tampa could offer an emergency solution out of the path of the storm.

One possibility: Saturday night's Florida State-Miami game, scheduled for 8 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, could be played at Raymond James Stadium as a safe alternative. A decision is expected Thursday.

Raymond James Stadium is hosting the USF-East Carolina game at noon Saturday, but it could handle the Seminoles and Hurricanes that night.

The Bucs are scheduled to be on the road at Carolina on Monday. Their next scheduled home game is Oct. 30 against the Raiders.

The Gators are also monitoring the storm, expected to hit the state Thursday night, and were expected to decide at 1 p.m. Thursday whether to move the time of their noon home game Saturday against LSU. That game is to stay in Gainesville.

UCF postponed its Friday home game against Tulane until Nov. 5, when both teams had a bye week.
