Judge dismisses license charge against Wilder

TAMPA — NFL draft hopeful James Wilder Jr. no longer has a legal issue hanging over him.

Hillsborough County Judge Margaret Courtney dismissed a charge of driving on a suspended license with knowledge after Wilder, 22, appeared before her Tuesday with a valid license.

The former Plant High and Florida State University running back was cited March 1 and then arrested on a warrant April 13 because he missed his court date.

He lost his license in December for having no proof of insurance, but state records show he satisfied the insurance requirement March 12.
