Their campuses sit fewer than 150 miles apart, but today will be the first meeting between Florida and USF. The Gators are coming off a disappointing offensive performance in last week's season-opening 34-12 win over Miami (Ohio). USF is fresh off a 59-14 win over I-AA Stony Brook. This will be the second-largest crowd the Bulls have played in front of (behind 99,235 at Penn State in 2005). Whether that will be a factor remains to be seen.

WATCH OUT FOR …
Eliminating mistakes. Florida's offense committed so many last week (eight fumbles, three lost), it was hard to tell anything about what type of team it really has. Mistakes today will be much more of a problem because USF is no Miami (Ohio). The Bulls rode into Tallahassee last season and knocked off Florida State. Don't think they will come into Gainesville lacking confidence. USF's B.J. Daniels, left, has been nicknamed "Baby Vick" by the Gator defenders, who realize getting pressure on the quarterback early is imperative. With both teams from Florida, you might believe each is accustomed to the heat. But a 12:21 start likely still means brutal humidity.
