Quarry Golf Course starts its women's league

The Quarry Golf Course in Brooksville will host a Women's Summer Golf League every Monday morning at 8:30 starting June 15.

The cost is $10 for members and $20 for nonmembers, which includes a round of golf, lunch and weekly prizes.

Upcoming events

Saturday: Fox Hollow Golf Club will hold a qualifier for the McGladreyTeam Championship.

There will be morning tee times. The tournament is open to all amateurs with a current USGA handicap index and the format will be One Best Net Ball of Three.

Sunday: The Rotary Club of Tarpon Springs will host is Inaugural Golf Tournament at the Crescent Oaks Golf and Country Club in Tarpon Springs with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

Cost is $75 per player, which will play in foursomes in a best ball format. Prizes will be awarded for the top three teams, dinner will follow the round and there will be a mulligan, longest ball and closest to the pin contests.

Proceeds will benefit various youth educational and recreational programs in the Tarpon Springs community. Among them are four-year college scholarships through the Pinellas Education Foundation Doorways Scholarship program, partial scholarships for Tarpon Springs High graduates, financial support for the Boys & Girls Club, Future Farmers of America, Tarpon Springs Little league, Cops & Kids and Syndicated Sound.

June 7: The Gulf High School Alumni Golf Tournament will be at the Fox Hollow Golf Club in Trinity, and hosted by coaches Jerry Young and Paul Girardi.

Cost is $75 per player with registration at noon and the shotgun start at 1 p.m.
