ADDITIONS

Kailand Cosgrove was the top local female finisher at Saturday's Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3 in Clearwater even after getting in a major accident on the bike leg of the race, which resulted in a fractured ulna and kept her off the course for about 30 minutes.

Cosgrove, 20 of Tarpon Springs, completed the triathlon in four hours, 56 minutes and 21 seconds to place 11th in the women's 18-24 group. After crashing, Cosgrove biked approximately 20 more miles and ran the full 13.1-mile final leg with a broken arm. She was the youngest competitor to complete the triathlon.

Cosgrove, a student at Florida State, was left out of last week's Ironman results because her hometown was not included in the official race results.

Also, Dean Sweetapple was left off the list of runners who completed last weekend's triathlon.

Sweetapple, 57 of Seminole, crossed the finish line in 5:24:38 and was 35th among runners in the men's 55-59 division.
