MIAMI — Luis Valbuena hit a two-out tiebreaking solo homer in the ninth on the first pitch from Steve Cishek to lift the Cubs. The Marlins fell to 5-17, which matches the worst start in team history through 22 games (1995), according to STATS. Shawn Camp pitched the eighth and Carlos Marmol got his second save in four opportunities. Nate Schierholtz doubled and later tied the game at 3 in the sixth inning with a solo homer off Kevin Slowey down the rightfield line, hitting the foul pole just over the fence.
