DENVER — Kenta Maeda held the Rockies hitless into the sixth, and A.J. Ellis hit a two-run homer. Maeda allowed three hits — all in the sixth — no runs and struck out eight in 6⅓ innings as the right-hander from Japan lowered his ERA to 0.36. Ellis hit his first homer of the season in the second to help Los Angeles end a five-game slide. Kenley Jansen threw a perfect ninth for his eighth save.
