Dan Mullen wasn't kidding about his commitment to special teams, and it's clearly working. After two blocked field goals saved four points against Charleston Southern, UF scored two special-teams touchdowns against Colorado State.

UF's offense began to click when it started relying more on talented running backs like Lamical Perine and Jordan Scarlett. That makes last week's calls even more confusing; Gators backs ran the ball only 15 times against Kentucky, while Feleipe Franks carried it 11 times.

The Gators' secondary missed some tackles, but give a depleted unit credit for how well it played against a Rams offense that entered Saturday ranked in the top 10 nationally in passing yards. UF allowed only 217 passing yards and one touchdown.
