Miami has a lot of rebuilding to do, and it already has decided to make Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long the first building block. At 6 feet 7, 315 pounds, he's big enough to provide a pretty firm foundation. His addition will help quarterback John Beck — or whoever is under center — as much as anything else the team could have done. Receiver also is an issue with Marty Booker having moved on in free agency.

On defense, the once-stout Dolphins are just plain old. They need to start investing in youth along the line, and the secondary needs to be addressed.

Round (overall pick)

1 (1) — Jake Long; 2 (32); 2 (57); 3 (64); 4 (100); 6 (195); 6 (204); 7 (208); 7 (245)
