Area apparel stores have been bombarded with inquiries about Brett Favre merchandise.
NFL-approved Buccaneers Favre jerseys could hit retailers by Tuesday if a trade happens this week.
Gerry D'Angelo, executive director of Bucs and Bulls Heaven at 14823 N Florida Ave. in Tampa, said her store would take merchandise orders the moment Favre officially joined the Bucs. The store's operating hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Web site (bucgear.com) would likely have jerseys for sale within an hour of an announcement. Prices would range from $79.99 to $284.99 plus tax beginning with replicas to authentics.
"Unfortunately, the Bucs haven't had that marquee player since Mike Alstott," D'Angelo said. "If Brett Favre shows up we'll have everything from stickers to clock thermometers with his image on it."
