THE DO-RUN-RUN: The Cardinals have the worst rushing offense in the league, averaging 73.6 yards. But the Falcons are wary they will try to exploit a run defense ranked 25th at 127.5 yards. "For a couple weeks, we have been giving up runs here and there," DE John Abraham, above, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "Last week, we made (St. Louis') Steven Jackson look like Walter Payton." The Falcons, however, were without S Lawyer Milloy, who is expected back. "He does a good job coming up and making big plays for us," Abraham said. "He's a safety, but he plays like a linebacker."

ALL HANDS: Short on tight ends, the Falcons are using T Todd Weiner occasionally when they need extra blocking. Weiner enjoys the opportunity, but don't expect to see him running any pass routes. "I've got some good hands," Weiner said, "but I can't run."

MEDICAL MATTERS: DEs Jamal Anderson (ankle) and Abraham (thigh/shoulder) did not practice. DT Grady Jackson (knee) was limited after sitting out Wednesday. T Sam Baker (hip/back), WR Harry Douglas (head), Milloy (back), FB Ovie Mughelli (knee) and Weiner (knee) also were limited.
