WHERE'S JOEY?: No one benefited from the Dolphins' conversion back to a 3-4 defense more than LB Joey Porter, who was second in the NFL with 17½ sacks. But Porter had just one sack in his final three games. "I wouldn't say it's a cold spell," coach Tony Sparano said. "(The media) gauge what Joey does by sacks, and that's natural. He's getting hit by two different people in some of those situations, but that's what happens. That being said, it doesn't mean that Joey Porter is not playing well."

KEEP AWAY: The Dolphins' 13 turnovers are a league record for a 16-game season, one fewer than the Giants in 1990. Chad Pennington's seven interceptions were a big reason. Only the Bucs' Jeff Garcia and Redskins' Jason Campbell (six apiece) had fewer among regular starters.

QUOTABLE: LB Akin Ayodele, on Ravens 6-foot, 260-pound RB Le'Ron McClain: "He is light on his feet. But if you watch him on tape, he can run through guys. So you really have to take the pads to him and not wait for him to get downhill."

Number of the day

67.4 Completion percentage, the league's best, by Pennington.
