Bryant back after father's funeral

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — K Matt Bryant returned to practice Thursday after attending his father's funeral in Texas on Tuesday.

William F. (Casey) Bryant died Dec. 25 of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. He was diagnosed in 2008, when Bryant was a Buc.

Bryant hurt a hamstring vs. Buffalo on Sunday but practiced. Not practicing were TE Tony Gonzalez (calf), RB Michael Turner (ankle), LB Curtis Lofton (shoulder/hamstring), T Thomas Johnson (knee), WR Eric Weems (head) and S Charlie Peprah (hamstring).
