Koetter talking with potential assistants

TAMPA — Bucs offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter has contacted assistant coaches in an attempt to line up a staff in case he gets a head coaching job with Tampa Bay or the 49ers.

Koetter remains a "strong candidate," for the Bucs' coaching job after interviewing for the position with general manager Jason Licht on Monday. He met with the 49ers last week.

Cardinals offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin and Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott also interviewed with Licht last week. Both are coaching in NFC division-round games this weekend.

There have been no negotiations with Koetter by the Bucs.
