Bucs general manager Jason Licht said Saturday that he was excited for the "eighth round" — the frenetic courtship of undrafted rookies to sign free-agent contracts immediately after the draft. The team was busy into the night, with seven players either tweeting or being reported as signing with the Bucs. There's room for 14 signings beyond Tampa Bay's seven draft picks before they reach the roster maximum of 90 players. Here are quick looks at the newest Bucs additions:
LB Quinton Alston, Iowa
Had 94 tackles in breakout senior season, with six tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.
DE Ryan Delaire, Towson
Delaire, right, had 11 sacks and three forced fumbles as a senior for Tigers.
CB DeShazor Everett, Texas A&M
Second on the Aggies with 73 tackles, including 16 in game against Arkansas.
S Chris Hackett, TCU
First-team All-Big 12 led conference, tied for third nationally, with seven interceptions.
LB Josh Keyes, Boston College
Four-year starter, left, had 42 career starts, 16½ career tackles for loss with Eagles.
DE Caushaud Lyons, Tusculum
Small-school standout (Division II private college located in Greeneville, Tenn.) led team with 89 tackles and 19 tackles for loss in 2014.
DE/OLB Michael Reynolds, Kansas
Had seven sacks and 14½ tackles for loss in 12 starts as a senior.
