The best news for the Bucs coming out of their 25-23 victory over the Giants was ...
JAMEIS FINDS A WAY
Tom Jones, @tomwjones: The Bucs were all over the place Sunday, and so was their QB, but they found a way to turn an 0-3 Giants team into an 0-4 Giants team. That's what good teams do. Jameis Winston led two fourth-quarter comebacks on Sunday. The Bucs needed to know that it's in him. That's what good quarterbacks do.
WHO THEY ARE WINNING WITHOUT
Rick Stroud, @NFLStroud: The Bucs are finding ways to win and they have done it without Doug Martin, Lavonte David and Kwon Alexander. Also consider Nick Folk is wobbly and DeSean Jackson has not been much of a factor yet. O.J. Howard has only four catches and got his first TD. That's a LOT of room for improvement. The MVP of the young season may be rookie linebacker Kendell Beckwith. That's the good news.
LOTS OF POSITIVES
Greg Auman, @gregauman: Winston made plays the entire game without turnovers. Five different players had plays of 30-plus yards. And the defense, without two central players in David and Alexander, held up very well. If they can just make their kicks now ...
THEY KEEP ANSWERING
Thomas Bassinger, @tometrics: The Bucs answering each time they fell behind. Past teams would have unraveled after falling behind 17-16 and then 23-22. Winston did all you could have asked for on the final drive, going 5-for-5 for 55 yards.
A HOME-FIELD ADVANTAGE SURFACES
Ernest Hooper, @hoop4you: The Bucs are 2-0 at Raymond James, and maybe a true home-field advantage is developing. Realize if you go 8-0 at home, you need only to win two or three road games to make the playoffs. Root for wet, humid, muggy weather on Thursday night.
