TAMPA — Mike Glennon, who started the Bucs' past five games at quarterback, said on 620-AM on Tuesday night that veteran Josh McCown will be the starter Sunday against the Falcons.

"I met with (QBs coach) Marcus Arroyo and Lovie (Smith) this morning and they decided that it would be best for Josh to go ahead this week and get the start," Glennon said on his weekly show. "For me, things aren't going to change in the way I prepare. I was in here all day watching film, will be in here bright and early taking care of my business as usual. Nothing's going to change with the way I work and the way I support the team."

McCown, who was sidelined for three games by a torn ligament in the thumb on his throwing hand, has been on the active roster for the past two games as Glennon's backup. Glennon threw two interceptions and had several missed opportunities in the Bucs' 22-17 loss at Cleveland on Sunday. He led the Bucs to a surprising win at Pittsburgh in his first start but is 0-4 since.

McCown's first start will be against the team he last played against. He injured the thumb when he hit an opponent's helmet in the second quarter of a 56-14 loss at Atlanta in September.
