NFL Thursday preview: Falcons at Saints

Tonight: Falcons at Saints, 8:25, Ch. 10, NFL

Line/OU: Falcons by 31/2; 52

Atlanta can improve to 6-0 under new coach Dan Quinn. A loss would drop New Orleans to 1-5, which would be its worst start under coach Sean Payton with Drew Brees at QB. Quinn sounded optimistic that WR Julio Jones, who has not practiced this week because of a hamstring injury, would play. Brees has been sacked 14 times, but Saints RG Jahri Evans says he will play after a three-game absence with a knee injury. Falcons RB and former FSU standout Devonta Freeman, who leads the league with eight rushing TDs and is tied for second with 405 yards rushing, faces a run defense that ranks 30th in the NFL.

TOM JONES' PICK: Falcons 31, Saints 17
