The history of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise has been one of ups and downs, the latter outnumbering the former by far too big a margin in the minds of most Bucs fans.

As Lovie Smith ends his 2-year tenure as head coach of the Bucs with a record of 8-24-0, here's a trip through Buccaneer history. It focuses on the many head coaches the team has had since 1976, some who have found a permanent home in the hearts of Bucs fans everywhere, some who will be remembered forever if only for their undeniable failure and some who many of you have probably forgotten.
