Ravens-Broncos preview

Ravens at Broncos

When/where: 8:30; Sports Authority Field, Denver

TV/radio: Ch. 8; 98.7-FM, 1010-AM

Line/OU: Broncos by 7½; 48½

The Ravens lost key pieces — and leaders — including LB Ray Lewis (retired), S Ed Reed (free agent to Houston) and WR Anquan Boldin (traded to San Francisco). But they still boast Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco, who is a lot richer thanks to a new contract. The Broncos have new faces, too, with former Patriots WR Wes Welker another weapon for QB Peyton Manning. But Denver's defense took a hit with LB Von Miller's suspension and DE Elvis Dumervil's awkward departure to … the Ravens.

Joe Smith's pick: Broncos 34, Ravens 28

Injury report

RAVENS Out: DE Arthur Jones (illness). Doubtful: C Ryan Jensen (foot), WR Deonte Thompson (foot), DT Brandon Williams (toe). Probable: TE Ed Dickson (thigh), LB Pernell McPhee (knee)

BRONCOS Out: RB C.J. Anderson (knee), CB Champ Bailey (foot), TE Joel Dreessen (knee). Doubtful: G Chris Kuper (ankle). Probable: DE Robert Ayers (Achilles), T Ryan Clady (shoulder), QB Brock Osweiler (left shoulder), WR Wes Welker (ankle)
