NEW ORLEANS — Running back Reggie Bush and defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis did not travel with the Saints for today's game against the Bucs.

Both were downgraded from questionable to out with knee injuries Saturday.

Bush missed practice last week with swelling in his left knee, and Ellis sprained his right knee in Week 7 and was limited in his return to practice last week.

Gruden spurns Bills: The Bills' first choice to replace coach Dick Jauron was former Bucs and Raiders coach Jon Gruden, Buffalo TV station WIVB reported last week. But Gruden, now an ESPN analyst, wasn't interested in the job. Perry Fewell is the team's interim coach.

Browns: Receiver Josh Cribbs is questionable for today's game at Detroit but says he'll play.

Eagles: Running back Brian Westbrook will miss at least two to three games as he recovers from his second concussion in 20 days, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. Rookie LeSean McCoy will start today at Chicago.

Jaguars: Safety Brian Russell was cut, and offensive lineman Paul McQuistan signed.

Lions: Right guard Stephen Peterman (ankle) went on season-ending injured reserve and will likely need surgery. Daniel Loper is expected to start in his place, and receiver Eric Fowler was promoted from the practice squad to fill the roster spot.

Texans: Running back Steve Slaton will start against the Titans on Monday.

Titans: Receiver Justin Gage (back) is out for Monday's game at Houston, and rookie Kenny Britt will make a second straight start. Linebacker Colin Allred (hamstring) missed a third straight practice and is out.
