Desperate for help at defensive tackle, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed former Buffalo Bills No. 1 pick John McCargo, one day after putting Gerald McCoy on injured reserve with a torn right biceps.
McCargo originally entered the league as a first-round pick (26th overall) of the Buffalo Bills in the 2006 NFL Draft. In his five seasons with the Bills, he played in 39 games with one start, recording 70 tackles, 2.5 sacks, four passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
The Bucs also announced they have signed RB Nic Grigsby and DT Swanson Miller to the practice squad.
