Tampa Bay Buccaneers sign punter Robert Malone

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed punter Robert Malone to replace Chris Bryan, who was released Tuesday.

Malone entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State with the Jacksonville Jaguars and spent a portion of the off-season with that team.

He was an All-Western Athletic Conference first-team selection as a senior, punting 44 times for a 45.2 yard average with 17 punts inside the 20 and 15 punts of 50 yards or more.

Bryan signed with the Bucs on Sept. 6 and was terribly inconsistent, punting 23 times for 860 yards, a 37.4 yard average.

The Bucs also signed linebacker Mike Baloguin to the practice squad and released linebacker J.D. Folsom from the practice squad.
