Thursday NFL preview capsule: Arizona Cardinals at St. Louis Rams

TONIGHT

Cardinals (4-0) at Rams (2-2)

When/where: 8:20; Edward Jones Dome, St. Louis

TV/radio: NFL Network; 98.7-FM, 1010-AM

Line/OU: Cardinals by 1; 39½

Bet you didn't know the Cardinals have the NFL's best record in their past 13 games (11-2). The mark extends to the latter half of last season, meaning this 4-0 start isn't exactly a fluke. But the Rams are improved, too, including QB Sam Bradford, who looks more comfortable. This will be a game of matchups: Arizona WR Larry Fitzgerald against CB Cortland Finnegan. CB Patrick Peterson against WR Danny Amendola, and DE Calais Campbell against RB Steven Jackson. The team that wins more of those will ultimately win the game.

Stephen F. Holder's pick: Rams 23, Cardinals 21
