Thursday night NFL game capsule: New York Giants at Carolina Panthers

Tonight

Giants (1-1) at Panthers (1-1)

When/where: 8:20; Bank of America Stadium; Charlotte, N.C.

TV/radio: NFL Network; 98.7-FM, 1010-AM

Line/OU: Giants by 1; 51

For the Giants' sake, hopefully they left something in the tank for this short week after Sunday's frantic comeback against the Bucs. Carolina's offense gets a tougher test after facing a disappointing Saints' D on Sunday. The Giants will do a better job of containing QB Cam Newton, so don't expect him to duplicate Sunday's 71 rushing yards. Here's what this game boils down to: Don't look for Eli Manning to throw three interceptions two games in a row.

Holder's pick: Giants 31, Panthers 24
