Storm at Talons

When/where: 8; BOK Center, Tulsa, Okla.

Radio: 1250-AM

It's back!

After a one-year hiatus, the Arena Football League returned Friday with games in Iowa and Spokane, Wash. The rules are the same, but among the changes:

• The league will own all of the teams with groups or individuals buying into them.

• Individual salaries haven't been disclosed. But they will be far less than the minimum of $1,800 per game in 2008.

• Six teams — Arizona, Chicago, Cleveland, Orlando, Tampa Bay and Utah — return. Seven teams — Alabama, Bossier-Shreveport (La.), Iowa, Milwaukee, Oklahoma City, Spokane (Wash.) and Tulsa (Okla.) — come from arenafootball2, which did not shut down. Dallas returns under new management, and Jacksonville is a new market.

• The NFL Network will air games on Fridays.
