Armwood 58, East Bay 13

GIBSONTON — Armwood wrapped up its district and will open up the playoffs Nov. 20 at Lyle Flagg Field.

The Hawks' big-play offense was on display as four of Armwood's (8-1) seven offensive touchdowns were longer than 30 yards. Armwood's D.J. Hitchman also recovered a fumble and returned it 56 yards for a score. After punting on their opening possession, the Hawks scored on six of their next seven first-half drives.

East Bay (5-5) also ripped off some big plays. Junior Nemorin had a 55-yard TD run in the second quarter and D.J. Richmond scored on a 68-yard run in the fourth. Indians QB Aaron Mills left on the first drive of the second half after a hit by Jermaine McKinney that led to Hitchman's TD.
