Game show themes
These themes are probably going to make some of you have flashbacks to wasted mornings or afternoons spent sprawled in front of the TV.
Spring game-breakers: In his first significant action under center at Berkeley Prep, quarterback Kevin Laddon, a rising senior, showed solid poise in the pocket and made a handful of really sharp throws. One of them went for 27 yards on third and 11 and led to the Buccaneers' first score. … Senior-to-be Jordan Crockett looks like he'll be a playmaker on both sides of the ball. At receiver, he made several nice catches, including one on a short pass in the first quarter that he turned into a 24-yard touchdown. At cornerback, he showed the ability to stick to his receiver throughout the game. … Linebacker Austin Chen, a rising junior, put forth a great effort to record a third-quarter field-goal block. … Running inside all night, Kevin Yent, a junior-to-be, did a lot of the dirty work and got the team some tough yards. Meanwhile, fellow running back Julian Crockett, who will be a senior, ran well outside the tackles.
Did you know?: Jordan and Julian Crockett are twins.
Audible 1: "We came out right away and controlled the line of scrimmage. The kids came out and they played hard." — Bucs coach Dominick Ciao
Audible 2: "I thought we played well. We're way better than we were last year catching the ball. We've got a new line, but they're getting there." — Julian Crockett
