Berkeley Prep 21, Winter Park 0

TAMPA — Berkeley Prep got two first-quarter touchdown runs by quarterback Destin Nichols and shut out visiting Winter Park.

Nichols' first score came from 9 yards out and the second from 12.

Winter Park later failed to get a first down on a punt fake, and Berkeley Preps' Chris Williams eventually ran in 6 yards. Justin Vogel then hit his third point-after.

Winter Park threatened during its final first-half drive, but Berkeley Prep intercepted.

Late in the fourth quarter, Winter Park drove 79 yards to set up a first and goal. But on second down the Winter Park quarterback fumbled on the 2, and Berkeley Prep recovered and ran out the clock.
