Blake 14, Dixie Hollins 13

ST. PETERSBURG — Dixie Hollins (0-7, 0-3) jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first quarter but Blake scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns for the Yellow Jackets' first win of the season.

"I'm glad it worked out the way it did," Blake coach Harry Hubbard said. "I'm happy for them."

The Rebels took the opening kickoff and drove 54 yards. Cedric Williams, who finished with 177 yards, scored from 5 yards out.

The Rebels scored when the snap went over quarterback Eugene Davenport's head and Rashad Johnson scooped up the ball for a touchdown.

The Yellow Jackets (1-6, 1-2) finally cracked the scoreboard late in the fourth quarter when Phillip Davis returned a punt 91 yards. After forcing a punt, Blake scored on its next possession. Davenport found Jamario Nobles, who jumped over a defender and outran the defense for an 80-yard TD.
