HUDSON — Bradenton Christian came into the game wanting to use its spread offense, with quarterback Eric Fridenberg leading the way.
The Panthers controlled from the opening quarter in a 21-0 victory over Bishop McLaughlin when Fridenberg hit David Schopfer on a 50-yard touchdown pass.
Later in the second quarter Colton Goodwin scored on a 15-yard pass from Fridenberg, and Bradenton Christian was up 14-0 at the half.
Bishop McLaughlin came out running the ball, but the only bright spot was running back Jeff Pope who finished with 31 yards on eight carries.
The Hurricanes had a hard time attacking a defense that has two shutouts in three games.
In the fourth quarter Bradenton scored its final touchdown, a 2-yard run by Schopfer.
The Panthers held Bishop McLaughlin to less than 100 yards in total offense and made the Hurricanes punt seven times.
