Calvary Chr. 30, Cambridge Chr. 6

CLEARWATER — Senior running back Jordan Ankrom helped Calvary Christian to its first win of the season against district opponent Cambridge Christian.

"It feels good to play well, and the kids were working hard," Warriors coach Chris Rivera said.

Calvary (1-3) came out strong when Johnny Hubbard connected with Zach Mueller for a 47-yard touchdown.

Blake Kennedy added a 37-yard field goal early in the second quarter. Jordan Ankrom caught a 28-yard touchdown from Hubbard to bring the halftime score to 17-0.

In the fourth quarter, Ankrom scored on 20- and 25-yard runs. The Lancers (1-3) got on the board with Chris Brown's 20-yard touchdown run.
