ST. PETERSBURG — Senior Brad Hyman-Muhammad picked off two passes in the remaining four minutes to help preserve a 26-0 shutout victory for Admiral Farragut over Shorecrest on Friday.
The Blue Jackets got on the scoreboard when sophomore Kevon Woods made a diving catch in the corner of the end zone from Colby Robinson for a 10-yard touchdown reception.
After a sluggish first half by both offenses, AFA got its offense rolling when Todd Macon turned a simple handoff into a 65-yard TD run midway through the third quarter. Macon finished with 147 yards on 12 carries.
Macon also had three sacks and recovered a fumble late in the fourth. Woods sacked Shorecrest's Travis Dugan twice. Dugan's two fumbles led to TDs. Senior Garrett Schulte led the Chargers with 14 carries for 42 yards.
