Football: Admiral Farragut 34, Calvary Christian 7

ST. PETERSBURG — Admiral Farragut came out a little flat Friday night, but still prevailed 34-7 over Calvary Christian.

Rayshawn Jenkins sparked Farragut by picking off a pass, then connecting with Demetrious Lewis several plays later for a 23-yard touchdown strike to put the Blue Jackets up 7-0 in the first quarter.

Calvary's offense seemed to pick up some steam, as the Warriors tied it late in the first on a 3-yard run by Alex Leonard.

Then it was all Farragut.

Freshman Napoleon Maxwell had a standout night for the Blue Jackets, rushing for 81 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries, all in the second half.

"When coach put me in the game, I knew I had to finish strong," Maxwell said.
