SEFFNER — Armwood rolled to another easy home victory, though this one came at a cost.
The Hawks (8-0, 2-0) lost two more key starters — senior fullback Kyle Wilcox and junior defensive end Brandon Teeling — during their 49-7 trouncing of Gaither (3-6, 0-2) on Friday night. Wilcox (high-ankle sprain) is out at least two weeks; Teeling (knee) is most likely out for the season, said coach Sean Callahan.
"We don't really drop off a whole lot when we play new people on the defensive side," Callahan said. "We have played so many new people."
The Hawks, who led 42-0 at halftime, scored on their first seven possessions. Quarterback Josh Grady went 6-for-6 and finished with 205 passing yards and four total touchdowns.
