BRANDON — Lightning delayed the start of Friday's matchup between a pair of unbeaten teams.
Afterward, the host Eagles might not have agreed on starting the game at all.
Bloomingdale improved to 2-0 with a 21-0 win, scoring touchdowns after two of Brandon's four turnovers.
Lucas Jose got the scoring started with a 44-yard field goal in the first quarter.
Tyler Jahn recovered a fumble by backup quarterback John Preyer to set up the first of two Isaiah McIntyre scoring runs. The Bulls missed the extra point, leaving them ahead only 9-0 at halftime.
In the second half, McIntyre, a sophomore quarterback who passed for 93 yards and ran for 74, plunged into the end zone from a yard out. That capped a drive set up by Chris Wonsley stripping the ball from Brandon running back Johnathan Jones. The two-point conversion failed.
McIntyre closed the scoring in the fourth quarter with a 12-yard pass to Doug Sandberg, but Bloomingdale again missed the extra point.
