Football: Bloomingdale 27, Riverview 24

RIVERVIEW — Coming off a heartbreaking loss to East Bay, Bloomingdale broke the hearts of a partisan Riverview crowd Friday with a comeback win. The Bulls overcame a 24-7 deficit with three fourth-quarter touchdowns.

Tommy McLaughlin started in place of flashy quarterback Isaiah McIntyre, who received an in-school suspension this week, and had a career game. The junior passed for 241 yards and four touchdowns for the Bulls.

"A lot of people don't remember that going into this season Tommy was our starter," Bloomingdale coach John Booth said of McLaughlin, who was injured in the spring and preseason games. "Tommy can play."

Logan Crouse had seven catches for 111 yards and three touchdowns for the Bulls, but Cody Decker had the most timely touchdown reception, a 25-yarder for the go-ahead score with less than four minutes left.

Turnovers led to the first four scores. Riverview recovered a fumble and Jesse Stillwell had an interception to take a 10-0 halftime lead. In the third quarter, fumble recoveries set up McLaughlin's 11-yard scoring strike to Crouse and the first of Keisean Young's two touchdown runs for Riverview.
