Football: Bloomingdale 49, Leto 0

VALRICO — Charles Allen rushed for 72 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries to lead Bloomingdale to its first win since Oct. 31, 2008.

After beating Brandon 27-22, the Bulls lost their final three games of 2008, including to Lakeland in the first round of the playoffs. Then they went 0-10 last season.

The passing game came alive in the second half for the Bulls (1-1) as David Dittfeld threw for 95 yards and two touchdowns. Dittfeld also ran for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.

The Falcons have not only not won a game this season. They haven't scored. In their previous games, they lost 57-0 to Robinson and 17-0 to Lennard. Thursday, they totaled only 90 yards of offense, led by Nick Davis's 28 on 12 carries.
