TAMPA — Senior Darius Lee ran for 121 yards and scored the game's lone touchdown, a 55-yarder with 2:25 remaining, for the visiting Eagles.

Before Lee's run, the only score was Andrew Cope's 30-yard field goal during the second quarter.

Miscues thwarted both offenses. Each team had a fumble and an interception. Both teams also turned the ball over on downs and saw first downs wiped out by penalties.

In addition, the squads combined for nine punts.

Still, Brandon (8-1) was clinging to its three-point lead late as the Chiefs (2-7) were driving for a possible winning score. But quarterback Mitchell Norden's pass to Kelvon Powell sailed incomplete on fourth and 11, giving the ball back to the Eagles.

Two plays later, Lee was in the end zone, and the Eagles had sealed their win.
