TAMPA — In what was supposed to be a tough test for both schools, Carrollwood Day dismantled Bishop McLaughlin 53-13 Friday.
"We are a pretty good team," Patriots coach Lane McLaughlin said. "A lot of people around town might think we are a small school, but we got some big guys and we are as big as any team in the county."
The Patriots (7-1) had 306 yards of offense, and Robert Davis had 212 of those yards. He had two rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown. Offense wasn't the only weapon the Patriots had. Dillon Floyd intercepted two passes, and the Patriots' defense held the Hurricanes (5-3) to 136 yards of offense. Jordan Betancourt had a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown for Bishop.
