ST. PETERSBURG — Dunedin came back from a 19-7 fourth quarter deficit to pick up its first victory of the season.
The comeback began when Trevonte Anderson returned an interception 25 yards to the Gibbs 15-yard line early in the quarter. Anthony Diviney scored on a 1-yard run on fourth and goal to cut Gibbs' lead to 19-14.
Dunedin's Kyle Kunnen blocked Gary Simon's punt on Gibbs' ensuing possession with seven minutes left, giving the Falcons the ball at the Gibbs 3. Diviney scored on a 4-yard run for the winning touchdown.
Dunedin coach Jack Benson was impressed with the comeback. "This feels wonderful," he said. "The kids showed a lot of character; the whole team did a great job"
