NEW PORT RICHEY — Despite only gaining 111 first-half yards, Fivay came rolling out in the second, putting up 211 offensive yards while erasing a six-point deficit. Kevin Cullen's second interception of the night gave visiting Fivay (2-7, 2-5) its second straight victory over the Rams.

Key drives: The Falcons open the second half by capping off a seven-play drive with Jason Utegg's first score when he ran in from 8 yards out. Ridgewood's ensuing drive ended after two plays when Cullen hauled in his first interception. Four plays later Fivay extended its lead to eight when Connor Davis connected with Bryce Smith for a 78-yard touchdown. Ridgewood (3-6, 2-5) did not back down. Down only eight with two minutes left, the Rams orchestrated a 10-play drive that culminated with Javon Wright's 5-yard touchdown throw to Michael Bautista with 16 seconds to play. The two-point run conversion, however, fell inches short of the goal line.

Stars of the game: Cole Coyne's presence in the second was crucial for the Falcons. He racked up three tackles for loss to go along with 113 total yards. … Wright had a game-high 281 total yards for the Rams.

Final word: "Just the kids believing in themselves. And coming out to a game where they are facing adversity. They came out and stuck it to them. They came back and held on in the end so I'm real proud of the guys." — Fivay coach Matt Durchik
