TAMPA — A week after a squeaker of a win, Gaither scored on the first play and breezed to a 69-0 win at home against Leto.
Running back Vu Le opened the game with a 65-yard touchdown run and the Cowboys (2-0) never looked back, racing out to a 21-0 in the first quarter. This win was in stark contrast to last week, a last-minute win against Alonso.
Gaither's running game pounded the outmanned Falcons (0-2), amassing 334 yards and seven scores on the ground. Jamari Cord, Jordan Rich-Rogers, Josh Bell, Shug Oyegunle, Tyree Gracein and Jalen Cochran teamed up for rushing touchdowns.
"All of our guys played really hard," said Gaither coach Jason Stokes. "They executed like the coaches asked."
