Football: Indian Rocks Christian 58, Carrollwood Day 55

LARGO — In a game that featured 113 combined points, Indian Rocks Christian outlasted Carrollwood Day 58-55 to stay alive in the Class 2A, District 5 race.

Indian Rocks got major contributions from seniors Jake Voitier, Casey Woods and Sean Culkin. Voitier had 14 rushes for 60 yards and two touchdowns. Woods was 11 of 18 for 251 yards and two scores passing including the winning score to Culkin, who had six receptions for 123 yards and two TDs. IRC outscored Carrollwood Day 23-19 in the fourth.

Carrollwood Day was led by senior quarterback Deuce Gruden, junior running back Robert Davis and junior receiver Andy Embody. Davis had 11 rushes for 158 yards and three touchdowns while Embody had five receptions for 101 yards, two TDs and a two-point conversion run. Gruden passed for four TDs and ran for another.
