Football: Jefferson 41, Alonso 14

TAMPA — It was the Deiondre Porter show Friday night as Jefferson dominated Alonso 41-14 Friday night.

Porter ran for just shy of 200 yards and tallied five total touchdowns. And though he only completed a handful of passes, he made them count with three going for touchdowns.

Alonso started the game strong, scoring the first touchdown of the game on a nice run by standout running back Ish Witter. But it was all Jefferson from there.

Despite moving the ball well early in the game, the Ravens did just about all they could to help fuel the offensive explosion by Jefferson. The Ravens had three first-half turnovers that led to 22 of Jefferson's 29 first-half points.

The Jefferson offense continued to roll in the second half. Out of the gate, the Dragons scored on their first possession when tailback Mondreas Lofton broke for a 24-yard run TD run.

Porter wasn't done either. He threw his third TD of the night late in the third quarter, connecting with wideout, Chavez Pownell for 88 yards.

The Dragons next face district foe Hillsborough.
